I’m JASON THOMAS, a photographer in the Columbus, Ohio area, as well work in Chicago and Los Angeles. Some might wonder how I chose the name KAKEMIXX. The name wasn’t my idea, but a classmate’s years ago, instead of fighting it, I made it my own. Also, it makes it easier for me to be searched on the net, Jason Thomas is a common name.

I've been pursuing photography as a career for over twenty years and it's been too much fun so far. I’ve had successes and failures through the years, and finally reached a base camp here in Columbus, Ohio in 2020. But, I'm still climbing and pushing myself forward everyday.

I think of myself more as a director than a photographer these days. I tend to work with subjects who aren't that comfortable in front of the camera and I direct them from start to finish. 

I've worked and traveled from a boardrooms in New York, to a film sets in Los Angeles, and all the land in between. I pursue photography with everything I have. Hire me for your next project and you'll get everything I have to give.
